Last night we saw Sevilla FC, one of the two Sevilla soccer teams and one of the best in the country, play Osasuna, a team from Pamplona. Sevilla ended up breaking a 1-1 tie in the last few minutes with a penalty kick after Osasuna received two yellow cards. I'm almost sure about that. The game was a lot of fun, partly because of the number of fights that broke out. And the fans are hardcore. I'm planning on learning the lyrics to the Sevilla FC song by the time I leave.

Sevillista seré hasta la muerte...
It's been a pretty pleasant weekend. I spent a good part of yesterday organizing a trip to Barcelona for me and a couple of other girls from Georgetown, since we have a little time off next week before university courses begin. I'm really (really) excited because I've wanted to go back ever since we went there on the Mamaroneck trip. It's also one of the few places I can put a semester of Catalan to use. Our hostel sounds decent and is cheap as hell. It's located in the old quarter right on las Ramblas, the touristy but still awesome street in the center of the city.

Great seats, I know.

bef, you are awesome.
ahhh that sounds incredible!! you should buy a soccer jersey, and then you should buy me one too
First of all, the seats were FANTASTIC and not at all difficult to locate. Second, as my youngest host brother will tell you in detail, Sevilla isn't just "one of the best teams in Spain" but rather the best in the world. It's true. He proved it to me via some complicated online ranking system thing.
i miz you
write more so i can feel like im there
