A real update

School is finally ending! ...sort of. I still have to go to a couple more art history classes and my exams don't begin for another two weeks, but it feels like the end. Especially now that the ~200 non-university CIEE students have cleared out.

The past six weeks have really been the highlight of my semester. I traveled to some of the coolest places I've ever been and did a bunch of new things in Seville. Carmen and I have been getting along great, and I've also managed to make friends with some kids from school, at least at the study-buddy level. I went to coffee with a Spanish girl from my Arabic class so she could practice her English for an oral exam, and it was SO gratifying to feel in control. Once you've been struggling with your second language for long enough you stop noticing how depleting it can be. In other words, it'll be nice to get home.

Anyway, here are some photos from my most recent trips.

Granada

The Alhambra in all its glory.

Morocco

Chef-Chaouen, painted blue to keep away flies.

Heidi and I, with a view of Fes.

Dye vats in a tannery in Fes.

Asilah

Málaga

Beach at Torremolinos.

Picasso's childhood home in Málaga.
I was only allowed to photograph in the stairwell...

De-lish.
